A trouble shared is a trouble halved

People write to convey a thought, to vent, to share. People write for the reader, trying to put themselves in the shoes of those who want to take something out of the hundreds of characters that make a post. Bloggers try to capture the reader’s attention, the reader’s interest, and try to stimulate passions, emotions and imagination.
It is possible that often, not always but often, those who write do so in function of those who will read.
Perhaps I am creating a big controversy with this claim. After all, this is just my opinion and it can be debated.

Anyone who knows me, even just a little, knows this: I CAN’T STAND PINK. I don’t know why this aversion to what is considered the color that best symbolizes femininity.  I only know that it’s been this way as long as I can remember.

I will dress my daughter in green ;) without a doubt!

And yet: never say never.  What better reason to try to overcome your own “fixations” than for a good excellent cause?

And so, to take part and give my little contribution to the nastro rosa (pink ribbon) campaign, I decided to make an exception and let pink enter my kitchen.  I pushed myself to buy pink plates (rigorously used and thrown away :) ), ingredients and various decorations to attach to my culinary delicacies.

Muffins with cheese and “grano arso” flour

That is, when the Puglia meets the America.

Now, some of you would ask, the muffins are not originally made in UK?

The truth is that the English muffins, with the crushed shape and the savoury taste have their origin in Victorian England. The Americans Muffins instead, mostly sweet and with the typical mushroom shape, have in common the name of their English cousins but they are much different one from the other.

Muffins In America are an institution, a kind of national symbol, so much so that some States have their own representing muffin!
